Britney Spears is suing eight insurance firms after they rejected a nearly 10 million-dollar claim resulting from the cancellation of her summer tour last year.

Britney Spears had to cancel the 82-day Onyx Hotel Tour across the United States, Canada and Europe after she injured her knee while shooting a video for her single "Outrageous."

Insurance companies rejected pop diva’s 9.8 million-dollar claim on the grounds that the Britney had a pre-existing condition.

In the lawsuit, filed last week in Manhattan Supreme Court and made public Tuesday, Britney Spears claims that not mentioning "minor" knee surgery she underwent in 1999 had been an "innocent omission" that had no bearing on her later injury.
