Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, MIck Jaegger Evacuated During Hotel Fire
A fire at a luxurious London hotel forced dozens of well-heeled guests onto the street yesterday, and cut short a press conference by Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.
Hollywood heavyweights Matt Damon and Brad Pitt had to rush out of TV chef Gordon Ramsay's hotel kitchen after a fire broke out at his restaurant at the Claridge's Hotel in London. The actors were promoting their new film Ocean's 12 at Claridge's when the blaze began. London Fire Brigade said four engines were called to Claridges Hotel in the city's upscale Mayfair district after a small fire broke out in the kitchen. There were no injuries, but guests were evacuated as a precaution.
Comic actor Jim Carrey and rocker Sir Mick Jagger were also evacuated out of the premises, reports The Sun. Jim Carrey promotes in London his new movie Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Producer Jerry Weintraub said on behalf of the cast and crew that "we are all very disappointed to have had to cancel this event, but it was due to circumstances beyond anyone's control."
