RUDSAK Opens Concept Boutique in Toronto

Housed in a sleek and timeless contemporary environment, RUDSAK boutique promises to become a popular shopping destination for urban trendsetters.

Montreal-based RUDSAK, one of the fastest growing Canadian labels, arrives in Toronto with the opening of two new stores.

The new concept RUDSAK boutique, located on one of the most prominent shopping streets in Toronto, Queen Street West, opened its doors on December 2.

RUDSAK boutique occupies over 1,700 square feet, and embodies the lifestyle concept behind the label. The store would carry RUDSAK's trademark study coats with leather trim, parkas, other ready-to-wear collections and accessories for men and women.

“RUDSAK is in expansion mode with plans to increase the number of boutiques in Canada over the next five years” says Evik Asatoorian, co-founder and designer.

“The RUDSAK label continues to be a progressive fashion statement among the urban trend-setting crowd, passionate about leather garments and outerwear with a streamlined edge.”

On November 18, RUDSAK opened its doors to Toronto for the first time in Sherway Gardens, adding to the existing five stores in Quebec. RUDSAK is also available at select specialty shops across Canada.

What to expect in the next season

For Spring 2007, Rudsak has drawn its inspiration from the late 50s, to early 60s, coming up with a silhouette that is both refined and structured.

This season again, the total leather look has given way to combinations of materials such as cotton, linen, nylon and soft lambskin leather. The leather is seen primarily in accents — details and appliqués — while pockets, some discrete, some oversized, are used in conjunction with wide belting and stylized collars, high or military style.

The colour palette includes timeless black and chocolate along with tones of honey, kiwi, salmon and earth, giving the hot season a fresh appeal.
